Road Trip

Luke and I have spent the last few days visiting all of Luke's grandparents while Vic was in San Diego for work. We had lots of fun playing with new toys, taking few naps and of course being completely spoiled!

Here is Luke playing in his very own ball pit at Grandma and Granddad's house. He actually was more interested in trying to get out of it than actually playing with the balls, oh well, he had fun!

Luke loves to crawl in reverse, until he gets stuck. We could barely see Luke because most of him was under the sofa!

We took several trips to the park with friends and with Nana and Papa, Luke loves swinging!

Of course while we were traveling and already out of our routine, Luke decided that he would not lay down in his crib, he would just sit up and cry because he could not figure out how to lay down again. After several very sleep deprived nights, he finally passed out when we got home on his tummy instead :-)

Luke and Muppet

I am showing this picture mainly for Vic and his parents. This is Luke with Muppet, who was Vic's favorite stuffed animal as a child. I won't be letting Luke play with Muppet very much because Muppet is very fragile after so many years of play and a few operations :-) Poor Muppet, his neck and eyeballs are just barely attached!

Crawling!

Luke crawled forward for the first time tonight. He had been crawling backwards for a few days, but officially crawled forwards while we were playing with him tonight. He likes to constantly go back and forth between sitting up and getting on his hands and knees, so he doesn't actually like to crawl for very long, but once he figures out it can get him places, he'll probably take off! Here are a few pictures. (I don't know if you can tell in the pictures, but we were luring him with cereal puffs and the remote control!)

Luke's Baby Dedication

Today is Luke's 9 month birthday and it was a very special day, we had his baby dedication at our church. Luke and one other baby were being dedicated and they were fortunately very well behaved! All of Luke's grandparents were there as well, and special thanks to Kristy for taking pictures for us! :-)

Nap time

When Luke refuses to take a nap in his crib, I sometimes resort to trying to make him fall asleep in his swing (which he is really outgrowing!). He had a hard day of playing today, he is pulling up on everything in sight, and while standing up holding onto the sofa today, he turned around and grabbed onto the coffee table while still standing! I am afraid he is going to take off walking any day now. He is actually getting closer to crawling as well, I'll be curious to see if he will crawl or just start walking :-)

Happy Easter!

We celebrated Luke's first Easter today. He looked so cute dressed up in his shirt and tie for church this morning :-) Then after church we hunted for easter eggs, Luke definitely had fun trying to grab as many eggs as he could!

Pool Time!

We bought Luke his first swimming pool and tried it out today. Luke loves taking baths, and to him it just seemed like a big bath tub! He definitely had fun splashing and playing with his toys, he just got frustrated when his toys floated out of his reach. I imagine we will be spending lots of time playing in the pool as it gets warmer :-)
