Happy Easter!

We celebrated Luke's first Easter today. He looked so cute dressed up in his shirt and tie for church this morning :-) Then after church we hunted for easter eggs, Luke definitely had fun trying to grab as many eggs as he could!

Pool Time!

We bought Luke his first swimming pool and tried it out today. Luke loves taking baths, and to him it just seemed like a big bath tub! He definitely had fun splashing and playing with his toys, he just got frustrated when his toys floated out of his reach. I imagine we will be spending lots of time playing in the pool as it gets warmer :-)

Aggie Baseball

This weekend we took Luke to college station for his first official Aggie sporting event, a baseball game. Luke really enjoyed sitting in our laps and entertaining all the people around us....and only once did the people in front of us have to pick something up that Luke threw down below their seats! We had a fun visit with Uncle Andy, and as you can see, Luke really enjoys hanging out Andy.

On another note, Luke has figured out this week how to scoot himself backwards, however he can't figure out how to go forwards, which obviously becomes a problem when he reaches a barrier behind him. I fear it will not be much longer before he can figure out how to go wherever he wants!

8 months and growing!

Luke turned 8 months old a few days ago and we keep thinking his growth is going to slow down, but it isn't! We went to the doctor yesterday and he is 21 lbs and 28 in long (both 90th percentile!). Luke isn't crawling yet, but he definitely is moving a little more and pulling up on things. Yesterday he stood up in the bathtub.....I can see that these sorts of activities are going to get much more difficult now that he realizes he doesn't have to sit in one place! Here are a few pictures from things we have done this week, enjoy!

We had a MOPS easter egg hunt on Monday, and even though he couldn't run around gathering eggs, his friend Trinity was nice enough to share one with him, which he really seemed to enjoy!

Uncle Andy is home from college this week and he came over and we took Luke to the zoo today and played with some of his toys.

Luke's 1st trip to the zoo

We took Luke for his first trip to the zoo today, it was so much fun! Although at many times Luke was more interested in looking at the kids around him than the animals, I think he still had lots of fun. His favorite thing to look at was the fish in the aquarium because he was able to see them up close, but he also seemed to enjoy looking at the giraffes, elephants and the black bear. We also ventured into the children's area of the zoo (wow, that was an adventure of screaming children and too many strollers!) and Vic took Luke in the petting zoo area and helped him to pet an animal. We're not sure what Luke thought of actually touching the animals, but I think overall his first trip to the zoo went very well :-)
