January Fun

These are just a few random pictures of fun things we have done in January...

Grandma and Granddad gave the kids a cardboard house to play with, perfect for cold January days....and when Granddad comes over to play!

We had a chance to stop in College Station last weekend and visit Uncle Andy on his birthday :-)

I took the kids to the zoo this week to enjoy the outdoors before the winter blast came in, it was such a nice quiet day, the kids had a great time.

Party in the bathtub!

It has been SO cold here this week, and the poor kids are going crazy inside. So yesterday when Luke told me on the way home from school that he wanted to play at the water park (umm, a little too chilly for that!), I suggested a party in the bathtub. The only difference between this and regular bathtime was that it was in the middle of the afternoon and in my bathtub, not theirs - however, this difference seemed to be enough to convince them that this was a fun event. And 45 minutes later, the kids were clean, warm and ready for naps....successful for everyone.

Matching

I love being able to occasionally match Vic and Luke, I don't know why, they don't care what they wear as long as they have clothes on, but I just think they look so cute when they match :-)

I was going to try to match Abby and me also, but I just couldn't find this outfit in my size -

Happy New Year!

I am sad that Christmas is over, but we have had such a fun few weeks with Vic having some time off from work and just having lots of quality time together as a family :-) Here are some pictures of what we have been up to since Christmas!
We went to the children's museum with my mom, a friend and her family and the kids had a blast!

One of our friends and her family celebrate New Year's Eve at noon on that day and invited some friends over to join them, so here is Luke ringing in the new year....with a gun?? :-)

And lastly we celebrated my 31st birthday on New Year's. It was a super fun and relaxing day with our families!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and enjoyed having our family all come over. This was the first year that Luke was really excited about Santa and had specific toys he asked for. It was also so fun to see Abby enjoy all of the presents and excitement this year too since she was too little last year to do anything! Here are some pictures of our day -

Seeing what Santa brought - a princess trike for Abby and a construction set for Luke!

Abby loves her new books!

The pirate ship from Nana and PawPaw that Luke wanted!

Wonderful variety of new books from Great Grandma Chipper

I think Abby enjoyed the birthday cake for Baby Jesus!

A princess definitely needs an appropriate throne :-)

Christmas Eve

We had a lot of fun on Christmas Eve this year...we started off with our annual Christmas Eve trip to the mall to eat pretzels and watch all the crazy people that have not finished their shopping yet. As you can see, Abby was serious about being included in the pretzel eating this year too!

We spent time in the afternoon making some Christmas crafts and baking a birthday cake for Jesus before heading to church.

After church, we let the kids open one present each and then after decorating the birthday cake and setting out cookies for Santa, the kids went to bed so Santa could come!

Abby was SUPER excited about her Christmas jammies, it is so easy to please a 1 year old :-)

Luke decorated the cake for Baby Jesus - he thought Jesus would like a Toy Story cake, so that is why he picked out the aliens and dinosaurs :-)
