My parents came over yesterday to celebrate my dad's birthday. Here is Luke and his granddad. We also watched lots of football, as you can tell, Luke was cheering for Green Bay and was very disappointed by their loss!!

Dinner out
Luke recently outgrew his infant carrier and moved onto the bigger car seat (which I was so sad about because he loved it and would always fall asleep in it!) and so tonight was his first time to actually sit up in a high chair when we went out to dinner. His favorite part of dinner was when the waiter at pappasitos came to sing Happy Birthday to the table next to us, Luke thought they were singing to him! Here is a picture from dinner and also of Luke and Dad playing together.

6 month check-up
Luke turned 6 months old this week! He went to the doctor for his 6 month check-up today, Luke weighs 19 lbs. 7 oz. (75% percentile) and is 27 inches long (75% percentile). Luke is really enjoying playing with his toys, especially now that he is sitting up so well. We have started trying some new solid foods, but unfortunately, Luke has taken after his daddy and doesn't like vegetables! We'll try fruits soon, hopefully that will go better :-)
This was Luke's first experience with sweet potatoes, I don't think he liked them!
Luke got to hang out with Uncle Andy before Andy goes back to college. They like to watch espn together and discuss sports :-)

Merry Christmas!
We have been looking forward to our first Christmas with Luke since he was born, and it certainly was a fun day! We spent Christmas morning with Vic's parents and then came back to our house, and my family came over. Luke fought very hard to stay awake and not miss any excitement, who needs a nap anyways on Christmas day?! He loved helping open his gifts and I am sure he will have lots of fun playing with all of his toys. Here are some pictures from Christmas day.
Well this is what Luke looked like by the end of the day! It was definitely an exciting ( and tiring!) first Christmas for him!
Christmas Eve
Luke's first Christmas was so exciting! We spent Christmas Eve with Vic's family and Luke's first reaction to the presents under the tree was to grab the bows and try to rip the paper, we knew he was ready for Christmas morning! After going to the Christmas eve service at Vic's parents church, we had a family get together that evening and Luke had lots of fun opening presents with all the kids. He was up really late and of course did not have time for a nap, so this did lead to a rather fussy Christmas day :-) Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve.
We don't have many pictures on Christmas day with Vic or me in the picture, so I added this to prove we really did spend Christmas with our son!
This was at Vic's cousin's house where we all gathered and the kids opened their presents. Luke actually did seem very interested in all of his gifts!
Before we went to bed, Vic and Luke read "The night before Christmas", Luke loves to read and help turn pages!

Luke is 5 months old!
Here are some pictures of Luke playing with his favorite things. It is so hard to believe he is 5 months old! He is close to being able to sit up, he loves to touch his toes and play with his toys. He has really enjoyed looking at the lights on our Christmas tree and we are looking forward to our first Christmas with him!

We have been trying to take a picture for our Christmas card, but Luke doesn't like to smile for the camera!! Here are a couple we have taken.

Luke is 4 months old!
Luke is 4 months old today! We can't believe how fast he is growing. We went to the doctor for his check-up and he now weighs almost 17 lbs (90th percentile!) and is about 25 in long (75th percentile). He loves playing with his toys and sitting in his exersaucer.

Yesterday, he rolled over for the first time and also had his first taste of solid food, rice cereal. I am not sure what he thought of the rice cereal, he spit most of it right back out! But he seemed interested in eating, which came as no surprise :-) Here are some pictures from the last couple days.
